De Gea

And the definitive one, Park. Swear if that lad was German he’d have been taken a lot more serious by some.

I'd have to go with Sheringham. Had the unfortunate tag line of "replacing" cantona and didn't help he was a bit of a flash harry. Most united fans never really took to him and he got a lot of stick in the 97/98 season when it all fell apart.

Park probably. The lad often delivered a performance in big games. No wonder that Ferie loved him.

Struggled, but was a fall guy. We saw plenty to suggest he should have played more.

His hat trick against Norwich was class.

How many players who arent strikers have bagged hat tricks for us in the last 20 years.
Just joined Besiktas btw. Never really worked for him second time at Dortmund.

That would be the fairly maligned thread tbf.

Thankfully, back then players who failed for 2 years would generallt be moved on. How times have changed

Scruffy but effective. Kagawa was a complete waste of time.

I'm going to jump in and speak on Jem's behalf with the suggestion he thinks Veron wasn't used correctly

I'd agree tbf.

Always someone else's fault when players fail...

Tho i'm sure Veron put the blame at his own door.
