The Brazilian has remained in the UK to deal with a personal issue, but he is expected to join up with the rest of the squad shortly.

The first letter of their names spells out ‘A FARM GAS’

Collectively, they stink the place out in a way Weghorst did on his own the last couple of months of the season.

If we sign the danish fella, it becomes ‘A GASH FARM’. Which is probably better.

Edit: on checking again, this only works if Pellestri is left out. He probably will be anyway, so that’s fine.

It's a fair point. Remember when we had 4 strikers. Cole, Sheringham, Yorke, Solskjaer.

We had Rooney, Tevez and Ronaldo. I think Berbatov was around too. Just reading now, Tevez said he left because of Berb pushing for his place.

We now have a lot of forwards and few strikers.

Of the travelling, you could say Martial, Rashford, Garnacho can be strikers but two of them aren't and one is semi-retired.

We need 2 strikers and Martial moving to Saudi Arabia nqat.

We're in the process of signing one and then who knows..

Erik was said to deffo want 2 when talk of the summer business began.

2 strikers, 2 midfielders, 1 CB and a Keeper (or £#%&!ing 3 it would appear) were what was being touted, and maybe a RB.. Since then United have been going to great lengths to brief money is tight and it will only be 3 etc. I reckon there's a bit of playing it smart going on, if they just waded out with everyone thinking we've got a warchest the fees would be even worse and negotiation harder. I'm firmly in the 'let's see what happens' crew this summer tbh. Feels lik a bit of a free hit of a summer/season given the takeover never ending.

don't apply common sense here, you'll be on their list.

last season we were lacking goals.

we scored 58 goals in the league.
our opps.
city 94 goals
arsenal 88 goals
liverpool 75 goals (3 of their forwards were out for a lot of the season)
Newcastle 68 goals
brighton 72 goals
spurs 70 goals.

we need to score at last 75 just to be competitive and is what should have been addressed first and foremost.
and they cant be any excuses. we are backing the manager. nearly 400m spent by beginning of season so we should be competing.....

this summer we needed a main striker , a 2nd striker and a goal scoring forward of the bench.

goals can get us through games and get points on the board but it seems we are going for 'total football'

personally this is worrying. just thinking it will work out is wild considering our striker we are negotiating for is a 20 year old with 9 goals in top flight football.

him and rAshford will have to out up 40-45 league goals minimum given the tally Antony, Sancho and garnacho will put up.
