Luckily our genius manager knows how to get the best out of players of that quality.

Good news, Adam Lallana has a slight scratch. Title challenge is off.

Actually the worst part(s):

1. We could have had Klopp but instead got Moyes
2. We have outspent them since Klopp took over, if we weren't a complete shambles we could easily have put together a title winning team and not have to rely on city to stop the vermin

Could we? I don't think he was willing to leave Dortmund at that point.

Pinch of salt but hardly a stretch of the imagination:

Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward had flown out to see Klopp in Germany.

“David Moyes's short tenure at Old Trafford was coming to an end, and Klopp was United's favourite to replace him, to bring back a sense of adventure to the Red Devils' game.

“Woodward told Klopp that the Theatre of Dreams was 'like an adult version of Disneyland', a mythical place where, as the nickname suggested, the entertainment was world class and dreams came true.

“Klopp wasn't entirely convinced by that sales pitch — he found it a bit 'unsexy', he told a friend — but he didn't dismiss the proposition out of hand either.”

Klopp, 50, would later meet up with Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke to confirm he had made up his mind and that he would be turning down United's offer.

Yeah that's definitely believeable sadly.

We shouldn't need a bloody sales pitch, let alone having a gimp like that making such a, well, unsexy one. It's so piss poor. And rampantly hypocritical given what we're £#%&!ing looking at now.

Woodward is a £#%&!ing moron and has no idea how to deal with anyone in football. I'm not surprised Klopp wasn't exactly elated at working with him.

We've done a post-busby all over again.

It really is quite remarkable for a club to make the same dreadful mistakes all over again.
