Default Matic a no brainer!

Chelsea are apparently ready to off load at £15 million. Seems a no brainer to me. Especially as they want Darmian.

Better the Fellani and Sneiders who we could probably get more for.

Being better than Fellaini and Schneiderlin is no yardstick. Matic is a bang average footballer.

I wouldn`t call these stats bang average tbh. The positive side of his play is his passing which as you can see is mostly forward thinking. For the money I think he would be a great squad player.

Nemanja Matic, in the English Barclays Premier League, has scored two goals this season, creating 19 chances and two assists. Nemanja Matic has completed 1387 passes this season with a pass accuracy of 88%, of which 75% were forward passes.

To Cesc Fabregas, five yards ahead of him.

Few of the rags saying the same.

Can't say I'm a fan, but he'd at least be a Fellaini upgrade. If it's gets the best out of Pogba too....

£15m? Not a chance they'd sell him to United at that price. We'll end up paying £35m.

Thread has been bumped. Original post from last year.

No way he'd be 15m now.

There was a more recent thread that was a better candidate for bumping. Ste is lucky he's over 50 miles away from me right now.

Good at what he does and can play a bit, has also won the league twice. Would prefer Fabinho but Matic would be a good signing.

So to help close the gap on Chelsea, we're going to sign one of their players that they've deemed isn't good enough for them. A player they're so disinterested in that they'll sell him to their biggest rival for a pittance.

It doesn't sound like the best plan in the world.

Just chuck money at Fabinho ffs.
