No way Liverpool pay 150m for him. Unless they get new owners in before the bidding starts. Be City or Madrid.

Real Madrid for £165 million.

Or city for £50 million.

Liverpool will struggle for champions league qualification, never mind the transfer fee and wages.

No top player who was in demand from big clubs has gone to Liverpool for decades. It's hardly likely to start now.

Bar Bruno there's been zero development of players that comes outside of the natural progression that comes with age. No one kicked on after 22\23ish, all signings bar Bruno regressed until this season. Dogshit senior coaching set ups with no long term planning under Woodward the main cause it seems. ETH here just in time to save careers, well everyone bar Donny and Greenwood, he's not magic.

Dalot has been significantly better this season.

Apart from that... erm...

Martinez aside, he'd get my vote for player of the year so far.

Just need to give him a new contract...

He's nailed on for Liverpool. Then onto real Madrid in 3 years.

It’s why they didn’t buy a midfielder in the summer. Squirrelling away their pennies for this lad.

I'm with Grinchy on this. M'Bappe aside, doubt anybody will come out of this tournament looking better, maybe that Ramos if he carries on.

He'd be insane to go to the dippers the way they're heading.

Aye, if they finish the season badly and we can continue improving. Imagine a midfield of him Casemiro and Bruno. Get a top drawer centre forward and we'd genuinely be looking at a team that wins the league,
Being the group of players that brings success back to Manchester United puts you in the history books.

Probably bullshit but if it isn’t - wheeling Fergie and cantona out - and Fergie straight face saying this is a good club to join with Woodward and the glazers

Embarrassing. Hopefully ten Hag goes nowhere near Fergie for anything.

If we believe this, it seems like money was never an issue for him nor trotting out the guys from the past. Surely if he’s so against joining the club it doesn’t even get to that stage? The agent just flat out says no the moment United come calling?

Like you say he must have been open to the idea just to be there. Which suggests whatever happened from that point forward £#%&!ed the transfer up.

Probably asked about win bonuses, and Ole told him they were more concerned with the taking part.

He would've been crazy to join United at that time.

Obviously felt he’d get more game time at dortmund than with us at the time

No big deal.

Doubt he was the only player to turn as down at/around that time. Mourinho and Woodward were horrendous for the club as a whole, and as much as I love Ole he wasn’t a great manager and failed to address the toxicity in the dressing room.
