I personally think he's worth the punt tbh. Young, can offer an array of options across the front, can dribble, pass, is an aerial threat, both footed. Ok, he might not have the 'stardust' to make him the figurehead of the team/club, but he's one of those that you'll be able to rely on to always be 6 or 7/10 and contribute with the capability to be even better. Worst case he gets to 25/26 and he can't get in the team because we've bought better in the interim and you move him on and get your money back.

All fair enough, pads the squad also which isn’t a bad thing & I’m sure he’ll not be a slapped arse about rotation etc, just the fact he likely would’ve been £25m in the summer and twice that now - that’s a £#%&! load of money for squad player that if we knew how to scout would cost a lot less.

I’m not offering many other options tbh, just don’t think he’s going to kick on and be an RVP or Ruud which is really what we’re crying out for. Leadership and world class ability.

It's not as simple as just going out and buying an RvN or RvP, you've got to wait for one to emerge then make sure you get them. We need something in the meantime.
