would have thought we were gonna do a Stoke with the keepers

and play one for Carling Cup/FA Cup and the other for League and Champions League?

Wasn't Fergie saying the other day the lack of a settled back 4 was effecting us. Why rest De Gea then?

Linda is a cracking keeper, but wanting to see more of De Gea.

I don't understand the chopping and changing at the back. I really don't. Fergie made the point himself that a lot of mistakes are being made because the defence is unsettled, so why make changes when they're not necessary? Rio doesn't need a rest, De Gea is getting better with each game. Obviously he's also giving a chance to others, which is fair enough, but considering how bad we were defensively the other night, we should be looking to get as much of a settled back five as possible, IMO.

I still think it will be enough to beat Norwich, but that's not really the point.

dont see the point in taking him out, surely games like today should be perfect where he can just settle in even more without too much trouble?

Rio was woeful on Tuesday, should be made to play in order to regain some form.

I think it has more to do with how abysmal he was in midweek, tbh.

De Gea is settling in fine as it is tbf; I don't think it was essential to play him today.

Fergie obviously knows that he has two quality 'keepers, and whist De Gea is clearly number 1, you have to keep the other guy happy through involvement, especially when they have earned their chance as Linders was not only excellent in pre-season but also in the Benfica game.

I think that was due to rustiness. If we dropped everyone who was poor the other night, we wouldn't get an eleven out.
