That chanting was embarrassing. Disney crowd. Reckon Joe Biden joined in at home. That offside goal was hilarious. Six feet offside and running like he's wearing clogs. It's over. His last tournament and he'll end up a side note.

A few apologies need to go Ten Hag's way from Keane and friends.

Exactly all that.

He’ll look more like Martin Samuel next season.

Apparently the Portuguese manager Santos has such a high approval rating from winning the Euros previously in 2016 that he can basically do what he likes in the eyes of the fans.

70% of them wanted Ronaldo dropped for the game yesterday after their group stage performances - and when you win as emphatically as that & the kid you play instead bags a hat-trick you're going to become untouchable in the court of public opinion.

Like the anti-Southgate.

No chance Ronaldo will start the next game after last night, doubly so as he walked off the pitch alone as the rest of them celebrated in front of their fans together at the end the massive £#%&!ing slapped arse.

Has refused to train with the subs today. Insisted on joining the first team in the gym

He's going to have a nervous breakdown before the new year.

Honestly think the death of his son has sent him loopy.

It's like a tragi-villain origin story

He needs to take a year off, spend some time with Dr. JP and calm his farm. He has a lot of responsibility still and needs to get on an even mental keel.

He is in the upper echelon of footballers in history. His legacy is secure. Now he needs to secure his present. Like a naughty kid heading into Santa's Grotto

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

This whole thing has backfired on him spectacularly. For the first time in his life his mouth is writing cheques which his body can’t cash.

Fine, he’s going to go to Oil Land and earn fortunes, but such is his ego that the personal wealth is a distant second to how he’s perceived. And unfortunately for him, he’s become a laughing stock.

He needs to wind his neck in and bow out gracefully, or else he’s going to find he has very few friends left when the limelight has faded.

We need a Portugal Argentina WC final, Messi opens the scoring in the first minute, Portugal battle on and equalise in the 95th minute, 1-1, a trademark Ronaldo header.

Then Argentina immediately score from the kick off, Messi, 2-1, ref blows it up, Ronaldo, SEETHING, has to watch Messi lift the World Cup and finally put to bed who is the greatest of the two.

Ronaldo then batters himself to death on the pitch with his boots.

The end.
