Default Daniel James to Leeds United: The MOST EXTRAORDINARY Transfer Saga in Recent History?

Russell Crowe narrating make it even more surreal.

Didn't seem that extraordinary tbh.

Trust me, I've told a few of them that their great team didn't actually win much, granted they got stiched up like kippers once or twice

And what medals they did win they got told to throw in the “biggest bin they could find”.

Love Cloughie.

Was sceptical at gazumping Leeds.

Was right to be sceptical.

Bit like when we beat Boro to Forlan. Just smells of a mediocre signing.

Said it at the time - the fact Leeds were the only other team in for him spoke volumes.

“Hello Pep? Yeah it’s Ole... Yeah fine thanks; look can I just ask you who you’re looking at in the market please? We’re trying to figure out who’s any good. Cheers...how do you spell that?”

Well if he can he needs to do it away from the first team... He was bang average.

A poor man's Jonathan Greening.

Yeah ok...

The famous Fred write off crew in full assault mode I see. No one’s saying he’s nailed on, but give the kid a chance ffs. He’s young, hard working and making a huge step up in class - and he was pivotal in some of our biggest wins in the first half of last season. Anyone trying to suggest he’s never played well enough to warrant a proper chance is either clueless or dishonest.

Forlan was a great player. Just unnecessary for us at the time. If James turns out to be half as good I'd rather we had him than anyone else.

Unnecessary is a creative word for poor. He went on to do very well but completely flopped for us.

I had no idea that waffles' approval was so important to a players chances of success.

Until today.
