well 322 Tory MPs thought we didn't need them aside from the Twitter @#%&!s - or maybe they did but didn't have the %@#$&!s.

did they think that they had already given money to local councils and had increased universal credit or did they think parents should sell their handbags and pearls?

Can i ask a questions, as i don't know the answer....

How can one of the top 10 countries in the world have so many children who require FSM, and rely on them so heavily that in half-term, that vouchers and meals need to be provided for them at home?

A genuine question as it baffles me.

Cleverer people than me will have better answers, but the cost of housing has to be one factor. Almost Impossible to buy a house if you're a single parent, rent is extortionate, social housing is reduced. I guess ince your fixed outgoings go out theres not a lot left to go round.
