Not a tactic that gobby @#%&! Deeney is likely to be using again any time soon. Probably should stick to analysing Wycombes players.

i mean ffs ....it's no different than that donkey Henderson that Klopp used alongside fabinho and keita to help that lot win the £#%&!ing league...those guys sure as £#%&! aren't the most skillful midfielders the premier league has ever seen
sparky forgot about this run and just concentrated on the burnley home game

The Scottish Player was getting his head to virtually every corner Telles was putting in Tuesday night. The kid looks like he’s about 6’ 5” these days. Throw in McGuire and possibly Cavani and corners might actually become a thing for us again.

They weren't in the Champions League for seven of them, however...

In which case, the better fact might be that in the 8 seasons since they "returned" to the Champions League, they have lost 4 times in the competition at home. Once against Real Madrid, once against Barcelona and twice against The Scottish Player & Fred.

Fred was only excellent because the forwards turned up. He had on ok game but was misplacing his passes in the first half. Once the attacks start clicking he plays well as all he needs to do is press, intercept and pass it 5 yards.

Thought Fred was poor in the first half, but much better in the second half. I've always loved The Scottish Player, always believed he'll be a class player.

Fred looks much better with The Scottish Player in the side
The two of them are like a pack of dogs hunting the ball down

Matic by comparison looks so slow and pedestrian

The Scottish Player needs to find consistency as I thought he was poor at the weekend but against PSG and tonight he’s been excellent

Don’t think either are good enough long term but they give us the balance we need at the moment

I thought he was good throughout. Not the best passer, but what a grafter.

Pogba / VDB - Fred - Mctommers

That works for me, Matic in if we need some calm on the ball but Fred and McT give you the legs and the workrate, nqat.

Pogba and Matic should never play in a 2 ever again, ever.
