Is it really? Saying we should play one of our young centre backs next to Maguire and replace the lad who can’t play football with one of the highly rated youngsters at the club, yeah £#%&!ing mental pal

What part of that don’t you get? Play Menji or Tuanzebe next to Maguire.
I'd play them both pal.

Could they not build one player out of him and Jones?

And this is why he can’t be relied upon.

That second spot is Axel’s for the taking/keeping.... if he can stay fit.

Ironic how Vedder sounds a little bit 'Bed-Wetter'.

Username checks out (although I do love him for his dedication to the real girls thread).

I'm starting to think Bailly and Maguire might work!

The mad Ivorian has pace to burn, is decent on the ball, and is up for a ruck.

Seems to bring the best out of Maguire as he's not having to constantly babysit that pansy Lindelof.

If we can get Bailly a proper footballing brain that doesn't malfunction at the first opportunity to lunge in like a maniac, he could be a player.

He’s a better defender than Lindelof and a better partner for Maguire, I’ve always thought. The problem is that he’s never more than a moment away from a madness or injuring himself.

I fully suspect we’ll lose him right around the time he’s convincing us that he’s the answer.

I don’t even mind the odd mad moment. It’s more the fact he will injure himself quite regularly.

Like when he overstretched for a tackle late on last night, after the referee had blew, and earned a yellow.

Looked brilliant last 3 games, everything we need. Nailed on season ending injury before January is out

Hope he can stay fit, will be quite some time before he can be considered reliable though.
