Default Newcastle v Manchester United Pre Match Build Up

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says captain Harry Maguire is a doubt for Saturday's return to Premier League action at Newcastle United.

The centre-back was sent off in England's UEFA Nations League defeat to Denmark but sustained a knock before then and must be assessed before making the trip to Tyneside.

It also appears as though Facundo Pellistri will not be involved while Alex Telles is resting following a flight back from South America, following his participation in the World Cup qualifiers.

NEWS FROM NEWCASTLE

Magpies boss Steve Bruce has been boosted by a raft of players returning to training. Ciaran Clark, Paul Dummett, Jamal Lascelles and Matty Longstaff, who scored in both home-and-away fixtures between the clubs last term, should be available. Jamal Lewis and Miguel Almiron were doubts after problems on international duty but could now be fit in time.

There is a question mark over Sean Longstaff's involvement, while Dwight Gayle and Matt Ritchie are definitely sidelined. Martin Dubravka has reportedly suffered a setback so it seems certain in-form Karl Darlow will continue in goal.

What a surprise. All their players particularly their defenders are back fit for our game...

Buzzing for this, feels good to be handing over £15 and knowing it goes directly to the club. Have asked for my £7.50 to go towards improving the Wi-Fi at OT.

We need a win and a clean sheet. We'll probably get a 3-2.

Hard to tell what will happen with Ole. Could see us going on a mini win streak, Lose AGAIN or more likely a shitty draw.

I'm convinced he'll go to a back 5 now though, so hopefully no more Spurs humiliations.

Maguire seemed to tweak his hamstring trying to set off after a shocking first touch, about 5 minutes before getting sent off. Might do him good to get out of the limelight for a week or 2, reckon he'll play though.

Don't know what to expect tbh, other than, slow start, ponderous and nervous on the ball and out-ran, out-muscled and out-worked for the first hour at least.

Wow. That should shut a few people up about what exactly it is we do in training.

Some pretty innovative drills there. Great to see. The use of midget goals could be a real game changer

Used to play with solitary brick for goals as a kid. Great for training accuracy

(Meant I scored my first (non own) goal at about 14 rather than 17)
