Despite all he's done in his career to date if all folk can do is have a pop at one of Utd's all time greats can they keep their £#%&!ing opinions to themselves or start their own thread slagging him off or making petty criticism.

The lad's a legend and his achievement tomorrow is testament to that. Probably my favourite footballer of all time. One that I have had great pleasure paying to see.

I hope we see him in the shirt for another 12months at least.

who cares. let's try to keep this thread at least about something other than yourself.

wonderful talent still, he is. it really does say a lot about the england national setup that the one genuine world-class player england had produced in years (since robbo, really - i don't think you could count gazza and owen and beckham were good, but not great) was shunted out to the wing until he quit so that media darling athletes could play where they wanted. any other team in the world would have been built around him.

magnificent, magnificent player. i've been privileged to be able to watch him.

You can infer what you want, it wasn't a dig at anyone but the whole thread was in danger of going OT which it kind of has now.

I don't think saying carrick and fabregas have been better than scholes this season is petty criticism/having a pop.

If you do, then you have a serious problem tbh.

He had a great start to the season to be fair. Has struggled of late though. I didn't start a thread to discuss the merits of Fabregas or Carrick compared to Scholes though. I started it as a way of celebrating one of the finest Utd players of all time.

Tomorrow is a fantastic achievement for the lad.

I take it you have not been watching fabregas this season?

although seeing you can't debate without insults for a second, I am wasting my time.
