not this season i'm afraid. too little too late, and i can't see past either chelsea or the scouse again ().

top four is doable though, but he's got to win something. fa cup or he could di matteo his way to the big one

I think you need to calm down.

Small matter of City and Chelsea coming up in our next 3 league games. He could still very easily be gone after that.

But what if he wins them both?

(no, this is not a prediction - at all)

That 'if' is doing a lot of £#%&!ing work there mate.

If he beats both of them then he's in the job until the summer, no question.

We could beat City but I don't think we'll beat chelsea. Our record at their place is, as you know, dreadful.

And if we lose to them we'll be about 12 points behind them. In November. Not even remotely £#%&!ing good enough.

As I said, not a prediction. Absolutely not.

But you mention the terrible record at Chelsea in recent years - there have been times we've outplayed them and still lost - it would be not totally "off brand" to win there now. Here's hoping

Funny no-one's mentioning the FA Cup.

Would SAF have still been manager in May 1990 if he hadn't won it?
