Reminds me of a young Roberto Carlos if I’m being honest. Once he discovers the outside of his foot it is game over for the rest of the league. Bloody mental.

Much like Maguire, I like that he can be relied on to play almost every game. If you're playing 20 of the first 22 league games for a team that is JOINT TOP, I reckon you're not doing that badly.

Thumbs up

Quietly starting to love him, and think he will develop into one of the best full-backs in Europe over the next two years. Never thought I'd say that at the start of the season, but it looks like his poor form was down to a lack of confidence, rather than ability.

His attacking game is clearly improving with every game. He's going to be an absolute monster for many seasons for us.

The Spider.

Pick Up The Pieces might be more appropriate in this instance though?

He's clearly great defensively. His control, short range and 1 touch passing are vastly underrated. One of the best in the league in tight spaces with the ball.

Her overlaps reasonably well but struggles so mentally he's doing the right thing. It just falls apart when he has the ball with space in the last third. His biggest weakness obviously being his crossing but you can learn that to some degree.

I think with time he'll be great. He'd doing a pretty decent job as it is.

Absolute shite. Always playing the opposition onside, switches off, awful going forward. Yes he can put a tackle in but let’s get real he’s a big weakness and needs upgrading in the summer

He's a very reactive defender. Constantly making last ditch lunging tackles. Looks good for the stats but i'd rather he actually read the game better and stop getting caught out on the first place. He had a really iffy game tonight, everything everton did came down his side. Him and lindelof were never quite comfortable.

Again he took 20 minutes to get going.

He looked completely out of his depth and nervous the first 20 minutes.

Leipzig away was truly a crime from him and seems many have forgotten already.

£135m on two defenders who already need upgrading after 18 months.

He’s just turned 23. I think he’s playing better than Shaw was a couple of years ago at the same age, despite his shortcomings. Look at Shaw the Boar now. He doesn’t need upgrading long term, but could do with a solid back up while he develops.

Cool

Will be one of the very best right-backs in Europe in a couple of seasons.

Yep. Everyone going on about Trent Alexander-Arnold but I think AWB will be England’s first choice rb in a couple of seasons.

Great tackler, works hard and has had some of the best wide men in this league in his pocket, but he’s terrible on the ball, loves a back pass, and his positioning/awareness of danger is some of the worst I’ve ever seen. Why does he constantly double up on centre forwards, leaving his man in acres of space behind him when play’s developing down the opposite flank?
