I don't think people quite grasp how shit this league is and how many points these teams can rack up. Liverpool have dropped points in four games this season. Four. 3 draws against City, Chelsea and Arsenal. A defeat to City. That's it. And those are the league's best sides. They have dropped ZERO points outside the top six teams and we are 22 games in to the season. Yes, it could all go wrong for them, but something about their fortunes needs to change. I don't mean a dip in form. In case you've missed it, this lot are developing a very dangerous habit of winning tight games when they're not playing well. We can harp on about how much better City are than them, but we're getting to the point where that's gonna mean £#%&! all because Liverpool arent dropping points. City's highs are better, but their lows are worse. They have a deeper squad but it failed them over Christmas when KDB and Silva were missing. Back to Back defeats at home to Palace and away to Leicester. Liverpool just aren't doing that. It's going to take a severe dip in confidence, some injuries and some good old fashioned bad luck to derail them. Meanwhile, City will have be nearly perfect. Liverpool are strong favourites . |

Here are some things that aren't myths. 22 games, 18 wins, just 1 defeat and a goal difference of +40. We're starting to sound like Liverpool fans in the 90s here. Insisting United are shit as they win yet again. You'd think with all the titles we'd won that we'd at least be able to spot the kind of attributes it takes to win it. After that city game, a nice little 1-0 when it really mattered is title winning stuff....while everyone sits and proclaims City are better and Brighton could have nicked something. Quote:
Salah's performances have dipped. Mane's too. Firmino is their main man in terms of leading from the front. He sets the tempo .. But his goals have dried up. His goals against arsenal last week his first at home at all season. The difference with them now is that defence is able to cover these dips. Last season it wasn't. 1 and 2 wasn't enough for them . Now it is. They'd have blown today's games in years gone by. Quote:

Our football in 10/11 and 12/13 wasn't being raved about and you will few United fans who will say we were consistently great to watch in those seasons but we had strengths. In 2012/13 we won 25 of our first 30 league games. That was only 1 less than City won of their first 30 last season and with really onl Y Carrick in the midfield. |

Can’t see them throwing it away from here tbh Was always going to happen at some point so £#%&! it, we'll just have to laugh at City instead for spending a shit load and having Super Pep in charge but still not being able to retain the league (as long as they don’t do EC ) Just want to us to get our shit in order, £#%&! what ever any one else is doing. |
