Watched it just now. Excellent film. A great precursor to Dr Dtrangelove. Amazing how all of his films were so ahead of their time.

2001: A Space Odyssey is his absolute cinematic masterpiece of masterpieces, but Barry Lyndon is his best film, IMO. It's perfection.

Insane how he was only 29 years old when he made Paths Of Glory, btw.

He's the GOAT.

Fuck me his exhibition is incredible. Losing my mind in the Eyes Wide Shut section. Must see imo.

went for barry

it was one I had put off. didn't really find that period interesting.

maybe because of lower expectations it had the biggest impact for me. Probably one of the best films I've ever seen.

2001 & Shining after that
