So what's the point? We all know that women can't play football as well as men. They should still be able to if they want to.

(and I agree that the BBC in particular massively overhypes the wimmin's game, but that's a separate thing)

Those Abu Dhabi owners are quite progressive when it comes to women. Real champions of their cause. Whatever the £#%&! that is when it comes to football. So £#%&!ing hypocrital of those around the women’s game.

Agreed. Hypocrisy at its height.

Also not long before Neville is brow beaten into stating male and female players should eventually be paid the same to achieve parity as part of gender equality to truly establish women's game.

No problem at all with women's football but let it find its own level without all the social engineering and hype.

That vile slag Karen Brady is now giving her views on this

Posting a few jokes on twitter is obviously much worse than giving a job to someone (obviously jokingly) who said he’d slap a female reporter

Just noticed it's that #@&%!, Dan Roan - he was one of the big provocateurs on twitter when the historical tweets first came to light.

He didn’t, he posted it in 2011 before the bantz police were quite so tyrannical.

I love the almost presidential interview tone.

Er, alright everyone, calm down...He’s managing a women’s football team for £#%&!’s sake, not running for leader of a political party.

When did we start holding football £#%&!ing managers to such high standards?

“Phil, it’s come to light you’ve typed some things on the internet half a decade ago that aren’t really becoming of a man who’s responsible for putting out cones and telling 11 women to kick a ball about. Have you anything to say in your defence?”
