Shay Given's transfer is a strange one. Mid-30s, decent keeper, last big move, last chance to play with a decent club, maybe win a medal. Fed up being at a joke of a club with an incompetent manager, numpty fans, delusions of greatness, a £#%&!ed up transfer policy. So he goes to................£#%&!ing ciddy!!!!

I suspect that £200k/week to play for a shit team is better than £80k/week ... (obviously the figures are guesswork, but you get my point)
