He would be in 1st pick at CB in any other defence in the country, including Chelsea and Liverpool, IMO.
I think Evans is a better CB than Wes personally. I think Wes' injuries have taken a toll on his play in the middle as has his tendency to play RB. He is still a good backup there and a very good defensive fullback though imo. if it's 3 more weeks for Evans though you may well be right that Wes might have to fill in against Inter and as such it'd be sensible to get him games.

I don't think it is possible to say Evans is a better CB than Wes after, what 15 games? JOS was the best LB in the country after his first 30 games.

It isn't possible to say it difinitively but it is my opinion currently that he is.

Opinions are opinions, I wouldn't say it was very fair on Wes though, or true for that matter.

I dunno why not, I don't think he's at his best at centreback, I also think evans is one of the best young centreback I've seen. I'm not trying to have a pop at Wes, as i said he's a good enough backup there and showed his quality all last season at RB.

I would be happy with Evans playing against Inter, don't get me wrong, but he has had some dodgy moments over recent weeks, still has a lot to learn and will be coming back from injury, where as we have the chance to play Wes, who has plenty of experience and should have a few games under his belt.

As i said, if it's as long term an injury as you said and he doesn't have a chance to play beforehand then that would tilt things in Wes' favour for me too. Either way it would behoove us as you said to get Wes some gametime fairly soo and you may be right, this is as good a game as any. I would say I'd like it more if Evra was fit, 'cos Everton are likely to be quite defensive and Wes and O' No aren't the best going forwrad, if Evra aint playing I'd like Nev's better attacking ability on the other side.

It was only a slight calf strain, was touch and go for Tuesday, so he can't be far off.

At the moment, I'd have Giggs instead of Scholes in midfield. The Ginger Prince is clearly some way of his best - I don't think I've ever seen him get caught in possession or give the ball away as much as he has recently.

Giggs will be key in opening up Everton. They're a very hard side to break down.

I'd probably go with jablonsky's team.
