Default Raheem Sterling

Word is he's being advised to leave the dippers as Brentons mismanaging him and they're worried about burnout/later injuries

What say ye, cheeky bid?

4-3-3 Total Football. Sterling would go on strike to get out of there if LvG and Woodward went in hard for him. Make it happen.

Needs to learn how to finish.

It'll be the difference between him being the next Bale or the next Bellion.

Shaw played more games and more minutes at Southampton and is younger than Sterling. Yet when he signed, there were no comments about risk of burn-out, just that he's good enough to be a regular first-teamer at an early age.

The issue about age is a myth, it's down to completion of physical development , that's where the risk of injury comes from. Look at Rooney at 16 and now - almost no difference, and he played every game he could at Everton and United. Others (like Gerrard) grew taller from 18 to 21, having a greater risk of injury while playing.

Signing Sterling would be typical of United in the past decade. Totally unnecessary while there are other areas in greater need of strength. So it'll probably happen.

It'd be like buying a spare glass eye when what you could really do with is a prosthetic arm.

Or something.

Not convinced he will be a great. We'd only be buying him to wind them up, and wind them up it would. Is it worth it? Hmmmm. Not really, unless LVG really thinks he can turn him into a worldie.

Can see him going to City and never fulfilling his potential.

My superb gut instinct tells me this little mincer thinks he has already made it and he will never put in the work required to actually do so.

Don´t know how you can say that. He´s proved time and time again he´s lethal in anybody´s box even when things are tight at the back.

Don´t ever accuse this lad of ball watching.
