Deffo was. Of course any goalkeeper that wasn’t a £#%&!ing @#%&! would’ve taken charge and gone at the ball with their body, dropped on the ball and picked it up.

Fred made a difference and if we could, one day, get a forward interested in getting his arse in the box, he’d have got on the end of that run and cross that Fred made. Martial, Cas and Eriksen also put crosses through their 6 yd box that should’ve been put away

Was this the ref that allowed our winner vs city?

Amazing how less jittery we look without slab

As bad as I've seen. He set the bar with Casemiro's yellow and then forgot all about it. That period where Brighton made 3-4 tackles in a row that were the same or worse.

Speaking of Brighton, for all the media love in they were right snide @#%&!s with all the little (and big) fouls.

Considering the injuries we are dealing with, and the fact that 3-4 of the starting 11 were not match fit, didn't think they were all that. Would take Caicedo in a heartbeat though.

Fred should start against Spurs imo. Bring Ericksen on in the later stages.

Seeing a few people defending DDG by saying the Brighton keeper didn’t save any either any.

Well firstly, he actually got within a couple of metres of some of them, rather than just immediately collapsing to the opposite side of the goal like David.

Secondly, he’s on about 20k a week and isn’t generally considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Rather than David on his £400k a week, who we’re still told is an elite keeper, with shot stopping one of his strengths.

We’ve clarified recently that the financial side of things influences expectations of performance, so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect DDG to save a £#%&!ing penalty now and then, even if the Brighton keeper doesn’t.

The winner wasn't remotely contentious. If you're talking about the equaliser he's supposed to give the goal and let VAR find a reason not to, they tried really bloody hard but the rules say it's a goal. Ref's interpretation didn't come into it.

Not saving a penalty in this shootout is forgiveable. Not saving one in the last 40 in shootouts (made up number but it's close to that) is just crazy. Cass was having to tell him to dance around to put them off and he still didn't do it. Literally 0 intimidation until their last penalty where he decided to stand on the spot before the taker put the ball down.

You've got to intimidate the opponent and try to get into their head. The ones who are good at it (like Martinez at Villa) have a much better chance of saving the penalty.

Thumbs up

Starting to love Weggy now everyone realizes he’s absolutely dog shit at football. It’s like he’s read a manual on how to endear himself to football fans and is ticking them off one by one. He reminds me of that girl who scored the winner for England, guaranteed he’s taking his top when he scores next.

Oh, ok. All I was trying to do is establish if he was the ref in that game. £#%&! me, he’ll still be wary of being tainted like Howard Webb.

So that’s a yes, then.

Put Wout’s attitude and desire into Martial and you would have a player. Wout £#%&!ing loves it

I don’t think anyone every thought he was any great shakes as a player, just that he was giving his all and doing a job, and the results proved it. 18 straight starts, poor bloke was absolutely £#%&!ed
