Best thing he did all night was the foul he probably should have been booked for, and the tackle he didn’t deserve to be booked for.

Absolute ghost otherwise

He would have scored that cross from James if he weren't cynically fouled when we were breaking up the pitch by Xhaka.

Watched him in the warm up before the game taking shots. Lingard didn’t score one from 8 or 9 goes - Big Hames scored everyone. Motwyw.

What is going on? Why does he still keep on getting picked? Have we not yet reached a stage where any manager just knows he’s not going to do anything apart from run about? Not asking you specifically mate, just venting because it’s £#%&!ing mystifying.

60 mins in and my youngest says he didn't realise Lingard was playing.

Must have had half a dozen touches.

“You got to watch George best and I have to watch this shite”

His ability to do absolutely nothing in a game and still get picked the following week is remarkable,

Fair play to this lad for wumming his way into united and England. Takes some skill to ensure his zero contribution remains critically unnoticed.

An international wummer.

That must be over 1000 premier league minutes without a goal or assist.

Utterly barmy and yet you know the next time he gets one he'll have some daft celebration.
