this is the first season that i can remember where Liverpool had a rash of injuries to key players. somehow they've managed to keep that front 3 healthy and VVD until now

Cycling off of the drugs/fatigue after 2 years of solid effort, suddenly the injuries are piling up.. coincidence?

It was a poor article to begin with. Still not cited how he knows 22 are asthmatic (which sounds %@#$&!s anyway) and no evidence they're actually on anything.

I mean I'd love it to be true but there's nothing to back up any of it.

There is absolutely no doubt about the amount of, let's call it 'juicing' that goes on across all sports at elite level. The top individuals and teams are always just trying to find that balance between what is legal/acceptable and what gives them the greatest edge possible. There's simply too much money at stake.

But you're absolutely right that article is pure semi-anecdotal nonsense. I have no doubt that Liverpool, United and all the others are at it, but there's no way any proper evidence will come out, and if it did very little would be done. As I say, far too much money at stake for too many people.

Didn't the same thing happen at Dortmund though? Didn't they start picking up injurues and their form dipped after about 3 seasons at the top?
