Wages have stopped his move to Villa apparently. Villa looking at Martinez from Arsenal for 20m when Romero was available for about 12m. Wages killing us again

We signed him on a free transfer in July 2015. He has played 61 times, achieved 39 clean sheets. and caused no problems that we know of.

It's hard to imagine a better number 2, unless you'd prefer the kind who would challenge more for the number 1 spot, which is fair enough, but they probably wouldn't hang around for 5 years.

Romero was good business for us. If we can get a few million for him, it'll be a bonus.

He’s decent but his stats are bumped up by the fact he’s used in cup games against weaker opposition than the league (more often than not).
