2006 started off brilliantly and faded in the latter stages.

this one started off poorly and has picked up as it's gone on.

last time argentina were the best side, probably followed by germany. this time it's the other way around.

on balance it's been alright. certainly not as bad as 2002.

Same, has had it's drama's, quality games, surprise stand outs etc.. I would say the only real disappointment has been none of the big stars turned up.

Best out of the last few anyway.

How long have these blokes been watching Football??? ...It's a regular occurrence that a player will handle the ball on the line in a situation that & take his red card on the chin. It's taking one for the team ffs.

It's like German telly, they don't have co-commentators. Much better without some know-nothing #@&%! saying 'to be fair that's got to be offside, that's terrible Clive' and then going silent when the replay shows the player five yards on.

Couple of years back, some sports website was doing a special offer - 74 Dutch long sleeved WC replica shirt, plus short sleeved version, with the words TOTAL FOOTBALL across the back, both for about £20 or so IIRC.

Bought 2 of them for my lads. Youngest loved it, said it was the best shirt on view in Games lessons.
