Oliver Holt repeats something 3 or 4 times at the start of all his "articles".

On Nadal V Murray

Quote:
When Rafa Nadal waters his plants, he probably uses a water cannon.
When he eats a 16 ounce steak, he probably swallows it whole When he shakes your hand, he probably takes your arm off.
And when he kills a fly, he probably doesn't just squash it on the window, he smashes the window as well.

I think it's the predictability of ABUism that grates...the double-standards, the hypocrisy etc..

Having said that I don't think it's particuarly 'scouse-like' to react it. Scousers invent situations to make themselves feel like victims...they're £#%&!ing ghouls who wallow in self-pity.
ABUism exists, it isn't a self-fulfilling Prophecy on our part.

I think we all get riled by the tiresome anti-United shit in the Press & amongst non-United fans, but we also enjoy it too.
tbh, rooney went to the world cup with a rep as one of the best players in the world. his profile is huge. no-one else in england comes close to that. now on one hand you could say that rooney was a let down and it would be hard to argue that.

however, most of the vitriol has been aimed at the set up in general, usually along the lines of 'over paid players' , 'molly coddled players' and an arrogant manager. the fact that rooneys name has been mentioned doesn't make it abu'ism. it's just that he's one of the players that didn't perform.

it is scouse because we try and make out that it has something to do with united when it clearly isn't. rooney also had a pop at the england fans, wether you like england or not or wether you agree with the booing or not you can't argue with the fact that any player questioning the loyalty of the fans when those fans are booking time off work, away from their families and generally ripped off by the the F.A and /or FIFA is bang out of order.

if that had been terry, we, on here would be all over the @#%&!.

Don't be silly, wonks. Nobody forced anybody to go to SA, Rooney was perfectly entitled to vent - just as the fans were free to boo. 'Time away from their families', they're not in the army ffs.

He's a LB

Hit the bar, or post and made the keeper make a save or two IIRC. You must've caught him on a bad day.
