Left just to himself, SAF might have done that - but the amount of Utd "fans" who were getting on Diego's back and making him a scapegoat for our poor form in 2004 probably forced his hand; indeed Fergie has in the past strongly hinted as much...........

yep agreed with that we should maybe have let Ruud go earlier and kept Diego rthe way things panned out

I would have him back in a shot. I didn't really want hin to leave, but he had little choice.

I reckon he would work well with Rooney tbh.
