Looks like it.

So if a team wins the Europa and qualifies domestically for the CL who gets the extra spot?

The runners up? or the next team below the winners domestically?

Not the best idea.

Not the worst idea. Would give the competition some credibility. They should combine it with the champioms league losers not entering the competition though.

This,

Make the knockout stages and you have got something to play for, would see teams take it a lot more seriously

Are Liverpool in it next year?

Don't like this idea as it may mean even the third team in the league table might not get a champions league place.

Good news for us, in all honesty. It does give us a different route to entering the CL.

actually they didn't, they finished 4th but all above them qualified for the champions league.

Their shark faced manager wont want to enter it that way like he said when it was clear they were not going to finish high enough for the fairplay mongleague....

It would have to be an additional place, surely? You can't have teams losing their spot in the Champions League to a Europa League runner-up ffs. Imagine Fulham taking a place off a top four side after losing in the final to Atletico a few years back

Its the winners only and if they don't finish in the top 4, we would have 5 teams in it. If both the Europa League and Champions League winners finished outside the top 4, they'd both get one but 4th place would miss out.
