Feels like were past it anyway. It's all the new generation know.

Kids are not in playground now arguing over has the better free kick technique, Beckham, Roberto Carlos etc... Trying to score goals like Ronaldinho or Zidane

Instead, arguing who's the better player based on the most horrific stats. Xg, Goal contributions, citing things like low block, counter pressing.

Top level football is already consumed like a spreadsheet. It's gone so NFL and americanised. 'knows ball' get to £#%&!

It's a sport, and one of the few that seems to give a shit about their supporters. I'm pretty sure that was the point.

I can see why that's not given there. Sure the defender clips him but he would never have got the ball, he kicks it to at least two defenders who were covering.

Adding another layer of subjective analysis to the equation does not increase the likelihood of getting the decision right it just adds another opinion into the mix which definitely DOES add to the confusion & frustration and subtracts from the enjoyment.

At least when it was just a ref and two linesmen we accepted that #@&%!-ups happen. Moan, yes, debate and make excuses, yes, but if we hadn't accepted it football wouldn't have become what it did, would it?

I blame Mark Hughes for VAR.
