Question Would you welcome Rooney as a member of the coaching staff

When he finally calls it a day? Knows the clubs inside out, one of our greatest finishers, lives in area etc

He wouldn't be unwelcome but I'm not sure he really the best at a particular thing to coach?

He isn't the best, defender, midfielder, winger or finisher. He has scored a lot of goals but a lot of that is to with his position and longevity.

I would guess (I don't know) that he doesn't have a natural capability or temperament for coaching and picking an absolute worldy at a particular skill or a world renowned coach would be a better idea.

Weird if some would welcome ibrahimovic to the coaching staff who's been here for some months while wouldn't have Rooney who's been here since 2004.....

When did we start caring so much who was on the coaching staff?

Is it because of Wee Jimmy?

Whip, suggested on another thread that he'd love Zlatan to become part of Uniteds coaching staff. Then two hours later laughed at the idea of Rooney doing it because he might not have the necessary qualifications. It's been a strange old day.

rooney's game was based on instinct, emotion and natural ability.

zlatan's game is based on technique and tactics.

wonder if wayne could drive the coach?

He'll be the size of steve bruce within 6 months of hanging up his boots.

Would be worth to see him trundling round the training ground then sitting down for a ciggy every 5 mins.
