He kinda is though, cos he's playing really bad, giving the ball away and shooting like a blind man, and has to play every minute of every game.

Rashford is a much worse problem, because he is all of the above, but is a lazy @#%&! slapped-arse @#%&! on top of it and is on twice the wage.

I don't know why people keep repeating this. If your best player and captain is prone to erratic form, has temperament issues and is producing less in terms of goals and assists then they were previously capable of I would suggest that is something of a problem.

He keeps things moving. Trying to create. Never stops trying. Put him in a decent team and you’d see his class. Put him in the laziest team on earth and he will look poor.

Just my opinion anyway.

I don't disagree, he does plenty of things well and his effort levels are much appreciated especially when he keeps them up next to feckless shits like Rashford. But he does have glaring, fixable issues with his game and we should be able to set the bar higher than what he's currently giving us.

If the coin landed on his foot, he’d go down like he’d been shot.

He’s not a problem, but he’s not the answer either. He’d make the bench in our old teams. He just illustrates how far off we are.

Wasn’t de Bruyne out for half the season? This all feels a bit try-hard.

We know what we’ve been watching, and Bruno’s been shit too many times. Now he’s not. Brilliant.

7 goals and 2 assists in 5 games has nothing to do with de bruyne
has de bruyne ever achieved those stats?
not that i'm a stat nerd
i prefer to watch the game

When he’s been shit the whole team has been shit and he’s been doing the running of three players.

You can say he should be more disciplined but that would have led to us conceding more, dropping more points etc

I think after the shitshow of this season my respect for him as a captain and player has actually gone up.

However, if he was shot in the foot he’d still be available for the next game.

And until they invent a ball that gives itself away, thank God for that.

He gives it his all.

I'm still in wonderment as to how he's not picked up a notable injury yet.

Definitely want to see his time managed better. To Ole's credit, he always kept him fresh.
