Default Euro 2020 outright bet

Looking at a few bets to make the tournament a bit more interesting.

Outright odds

France 5/1
England 6/1
Belgium 6/1
Germany 9/1
Spain 9/1
Portugal 9/1
Italy 11/1
Netherlands 12/1
Denmark 33/1
Croatia 50/1
Turkey 66/1
Poland 80/1
Switzerland 80/1
Sweden 100/1
Ukraine 125/1
Bar 150/1

Think I'm gonna have a punt on Italy at those prices. They are unbeaten for over 2 years and all of the favourites have flaws.

May as well throw your money in the bin.

Look at the state of the teams they have played in that 2 year period.

Wouldn't surprise me if they struggle to get out of the group.

Well they beat Poland and Netherlands recently. Germany have been awful, that Spain squad looks shite, France are obviously the best team and England have a good squad but I don't trust Southgate to use his best players.

Literally the only two sides they have played.

Look at their squad.

Goalkeepers: Alessio Cragno (Cagliari), Gianluigi Donnarumma (Milan), Alex Meret (Napoli), Salvatore Sirigu (Torino)

Defenders: Francesco Acerbi (Lazio), Alessandro Bastoni (Inter), Cristiano Biraghi (Fiorentina), Leonardo Bonucci (Juventus), Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus), Giovanni Di Lorenzo (Napoli), Alessandro Florenzi (Paris), Gianluca Mancini (Roma), Leonardo Spinazzola (Roma), Rafael Toloi (Atalanta)

Midfielders: Nicoḷ Barella (Inter), Gaetano Castrovilli (Fiorentina), Bryan Cristante (Roma), Manuel Locatelli (Sassuolo), Lorenzo Pellegrini (Roma), Matteo Pessina (Atalanta), Stefano Sensi (Inter), Marco Verratti (Paris)

Forwards: Andrea Belotti (Torino), Domenico Berardi (Sassuolo), Federico Bernardeschi (Juventus), Federico Chiesa (Juventus), Vincenzo Grifo (Freiburg), Ciro Immobile (Lazio), Lorenzo Insigne (Napoli), Moise Kean (Paris), Matteo Politano (Napoli), Giacomo Raspadori (Sassuolo)

Turd.

If they were 40-1, they may be worth a bet to lay it off.

The money you could have made over the years laying England in major tournaments although you'd have got a fright in 96 and 18.

Italian sides are best when they're solid and pragmatic and don't rely on stars. They'll grind their way through unspectacularly to the semis at least I reckon.

Belgium will look wonderful and score 5 in a couple of games and then misfire and choke as they always do.

Croatia 50/1 when they were in the last WC Final? Worth an e/w, unless Modric has retired?

Fancy England or Portugal, just going off the squads.

England a bit unfortunate to have fitness doubts over some of their better players. They're going to have some squad of players over the next few years. No reason why they shouldn't be challenging for trophies.

Betting is about finding value. If you think Italy are value at 11-1, crack on

Italian sides are generally at their best when they have some good players.
