Unless we sign defenders, we won't get anywhere near the top two.
If we had a Rio and Vidic in this side, we'd be challenging already.

2 forwards and 2 midfielders and we'd get close.

All in.

I trust Ole in the transfer market. He’s developing a great culture at the club.

A winger and a striker, essentially, 6 or 7 players (including James and Oders) for 3 spots. Gives you options and variety. Plus Oders will be off in Jan as things stand.

An attacking midfielder to replace Lingard/Mata/Pereira and provide an alternative to Fernandes and a direct replacement/option for Matic. The Scottish Player, Pogba and Fred need to sort their shit out. Also gives options for going 4 in midfield, 2 defensive etc.

Remember, 5 subs from 9 next season..

Probably get the pair for 80 - 90

To challenge next year we need experience at the back . Young prospects don't really cut the mustard consistently in defence

Jimenez is guaranteed and will deliver .4 strikers serving up 70 goals will make us contenders

No chance we buy 2 28/29 year olds for £100m+ tbh, which is what they would cost. If we buy anyone from Wolves it has to be Neves.

Think Pogba is staying and both Tommers and Fred will kick on plus it'll be good to give Garner more of a run next year

Competition up top with a proven goal machine is a must as is a beast being introduced to partner slab

Will not win the league until the defence is bolstered and that means experience and power not a just a future good prospect

70+ goals and a sturdy defence , 90mil so what .Cheap if it turns them into contenders

Get rid of the deadwood, get them off the wage bill.

Sign a centre back, right winger and maybe a striker or another midfielder and it's on.

Will piss top 3 anyway, with them signings, a bit of luck, Liverpool and city not being as good as they have been we might sneak it.

Id get rid of Shaw as well. He's a big a liability as Lindelof.

We're 2-3 key signings away and we need to prove we can handle different teams and scenarios on a more consistent basis.

However, I firmly believe teams can accelerate their progress massively with a couple of good signings and players improving.

We have done that and if we continue to do, teams that seem light years ahead of us are much nearer.
