I was 12, at home in the living room. Weird thing is I can’t for the life of me remember the goals going in. Just too much to process for a kid’s mind I suppose.

Determined to see the game sober as I wanted to take everything in, yet such was the incredible goon I had no idea who’d scored the goals till I got back to Manchester the next morning having waited an eternity for the flight back.
