Probably %@#$&!ing him for trying to nab Jesus’s goal. The neutrals and casuals will stop tuning in for the cup final as the magic and romanticism of the cup is vanishing when David is getting thrashed 6-0 by Goliath in the final.

But maybe the league cup was tougher...

Oxford
Fulham
Leicester
Burton
Chelsea

Their two toughest, Leicester and Chelsea, they needed pens to win.

Lost to spurs in Europe and the only title challenge came from a side that finished over 30 points behind them the previous year and hasn't won one in 29 years.

Contrast with 99:

CL: Bayern, Barca, Inter, Juve, Bayern again.
FA Cup: Boro, Liverpool, Chelsea (twice), Arsenal (twice), Newcastle

League: Beating the Champions to the title

It's hard to compare teams over generations because the game changes, but anyone trying to equate City's Treble to our's deserves a £#%&!ing slap .
