Citing individual games they've won . You're bound to win plenty of games in 20 years, you silly melty bastard.

2 league cup wins in 20 years makes his point for him.

They've never really been in the financial position to really challenge. There are similarly big clubs, like Everton, who have done no better but don't get called spineless. Redknapp did a pretty good job there and has a right to make his point. Plus Nev is a drama queen.

The big contradiction appears to be Nev basically lauding the chairman and simultaneously slagging off most of his tenure

Everton and Arsenal are slated for pretty much the same thing.

Everyone laughs at Wenger and Moyes being an Everton legend.

The financial thing isn't an excuse. Swansea have won a trophy more recently than them.

Spurs nearly finished 4th in 2005 but they all got food poisoning. They finished 3rd in a 2 horse race with Leicester.

£#%&!ed their semi against United last year. £#%&!ed their semi the year before against Chelsea. Favourites in both.

They have their own saying "lads, it's spurs".

Every man and his dog knows what Neville is on about and only a silly old @#%&! like redknapp would get excited by something like that.

Those were examples from the Poch era.

Spurs have got better, but can see why Redknapp who finished 4th twice in quick succession is a bit miffed at his side being seen as pathetic while Poch finishing 3rd is different world stuff. I think it's the exaggeration from Neville that's the problem.

Probably because Pochettino is doing it with young players whereas Redknapp's team was fairly middle of the road. Didn't he buy Saha and 82 year old Ryan Nelson in the same week?

Free transfers. He still complains that's all Levy would give him when he needed more players

Edit - that season Redknapp finished 4th having spent £5.5m. Club brought in nearly £40m. Levy has always been tight.

Either way, his Spurs side were a decent team. Pathetic definitely OTT.

He played against them for a large portion of that time and if that’s what he thought of them then that’s what he thought of them. Obviously he didn’t mean every minute of every season for 30 years.

If a pundit can’t say what they think for fear of upsetting a mard arse like Redknapp then what function are they actually fulfilling?
