Default Where now for Memphis Depay?

Didn't get a look in today despite us badly needing a change....lingard getting the nod ahead of him..

Looking like a flop right now.

A bit worrying I agree, but still far too soon to write him off. Maybe he needed a bit of a boot in the posterior?

Attitude adjustment.

The step from Holland to England is much higher than the one Martial is making. In the Eriedivise Depay could physically dominate his direct opponents, usually up against very quick and strong players in this league, needs to add variety to his game, the cut inside looking for the shot is quickly worked out.

He will be fine in time, if nothing else he has a goalscoring knack.

Very surprised he didn't come on today. Does suggest LVG's issues with him are a bit bigger than I previously thought.

When you're seeing the manager turn to Lingard to change the game instead of you it doesn't look good

He's only 21. Plenty of time for him. He has to start against Boro. "Rest" Rooney too.

He's still got plenty of time. He needs to improve his decision making but that will come.

He'll struggle to get in short term because Martial is a better player and I don't think LvG will risk having two mavericks in the team.

It'll make him hungrier to come back. Trust in the Memph.

Lingard deserved to come on. The real spit in the face is the disgusting elbow thug getting on before you.

rooney played better today than martial has all season. that's why martial isn't in the team.

He'll start mid-week against Middlesborough and hopefully puts in a confidence boosting performance

I think he's been taken out of the side since Arsenal as LvG realised what a difficult run of fixtures we had coming up and couldn't trust Memphis they way he's performing atm

Once we get an easier run of fixtures we'll see Memphis introduced back into the side but he has to perform better than he's showing at the moment

I don't know how you can call him a flop as it would have been a surprise if a 21 year old coming from the Dutch league had hit the ground running

Was surprised not to see him today tbh, the Valencia injury may have stopped that though using the last sub on Darmian.

He'll be fine, will score midweek
