Default Breaking International Law

Goes well beyond Brexit so worth its own thread. Amazing to see a Tory Minister get up in Parliament and admit that's what they are going to do. This could unravel very quickly for both Ministers and civil servants (2 senior ones gone already).

May have devolution implications and any US deal and the Chinese must be pissing themselves in Hong Kong.

There are no consequences for a major country if they break "international" law. The Russians, Chinese and Americans do it all the time with impunity. If anything it will raise our standing with Trump, although he will still screw us over given the opportunity.

Russia and China increasingly seen as rogue which isn't the company we want to keep. This is local and brings the ECJ into play as well as devolution issues.
