What does the price Real Madrid paid to renovate a completely different stadium have to do with what is required at Old Trafford?!

There’s just no way it’s in desperate need of £1bn of work when that’s what it costs to build a new stadium.

We can use the Boo Camp while OT is being renovated. They won't be needing it.

It's also worth remembering how these clubs are paying for their stadiums. It's not like Levy dropped a billion of his own money for Spurs's stadium.

If Spurs can build a billion quid stadium off the back of a Champions League semi-final and getting beat by Leicester to the title, then I don't think anyone who can put up the money to buy the club initially is sweating too much about stadium costs.

The team and club have suffered as a result of paying for that stadium, Arsenal struggled for a decade or more while paying theirs off.

True, but with the greatest respects to those two clubs who are big in their own right, they're not Manchester United.

We've been paying obscene amounts of money yearly just on interest on the gimps debt. It's not like we can't afford to borrow and repay the money required, at least we'd be paying off debt that is being invested into the club.

Past caring who owns us. Nobody gives a £#%&! the moral high ground has long gone. Knock the stadium down build a new one one the car park next door and then make a mini ground on old Trafford. Let the new generation enjoy it all.

If football wasn't already dominated by oil money I'd be against it.

Not where we are though is it.

Is Keegan still the only source on this?

do we have any idea if this is more than just ITK bullshit from him?

Is there anything in this white paper that may allow for fan ownership? Or at least decision making?

I'd be at least abit more comfortable with something like that on the way

At the end of the day, if they can get away with buying us and offer the Glazers more than anyone else, then that's that. Something tells me that Joel et al won't give a shit if we get sports' washed or not.

And surely we'd all agree that's it's better that we're owned by the Qataris than the Glazers, whether we like the new owners or not.

Green and gold on hold.

6bn is getting thrown around. That seems to be what the Glazers want, but doesn’t mean they’ll get it. Especially if they want to saddle the new owners with debt too.

He doesn't own psg though the Qatari investment fund does. Jamie Jackson is less reliable than keegan.

think the follow up quote suggests that there's something going on, why would they bother looking at a solution if they weren't serious about buying us.
