It's difficult to break down an organised flat back 8 tbf. They can't do it for 90 minutes though. Saved by a few desperate blocks and a great save so far.

Take off Rashford, move Greenwood to the left, and bring on Amad.

i think we need to take a few shots from outside the box every now and again just to pull them out a bit

One of those blocked shots will either get deflected in or into the path of a forward soon. They can’t keep it up surely...

Always is when a team sets up to defend their 18 yard box with all their players, unless United gift them a goal, then it becomes a great game

It is, but we make it very easy for teams do so by moving the ball soooo slowly. Everyone wants two or three touches, or it’s the opposite and we’re hitting balls over the top that aren’t on.

We play so many pointless little balls backwards. The pass to the player five yards away, who gives it immediately back to them, with neither moving. They like that one.

They’re not obliged to come and just wave our players through.

Teams have been doing this for 30 years against us at home. Only difference is the quality of our team now as opposed to then.

Much preferred the nuts West Ham under Billic. Proper shithouse football from Moyes. Says it all that teams are resorting more and more to these kinds of tactics against us - they’re scared of our attack. Keep plugging away and we will score a couple here.

The thing about moving the ball quickly, you have to have somewhere to move it to.. you need someone committing players and creating some space and dragging other defenders out of position. But it's £#%&!ing difficult to do when they condense the space as West Ham have. It's why so many shit teams do it. It's much easier to destroy than create.

United need to get better at dealing with it, we need players that commit defenders and players to take advantage when space is created.
