Yup. It's sad and it goes to show that no matter how good these kids look in the reserves you can never say they'll make the grade.

We seem to have problems producing strikers. Even the 95 break through didn't have a striker. Scholes may have started as a striker but he isn't an out and out striker as we know.

Simpson or Evans would have done a good job. No doubt they will both come on in the 2nd half
Remember the chance David Jones got last pre-season.

Even Liam Miller got more time than him.

I wonder if we'll be wearing the new away kit.

Isn't this the team who's kit looked almost exactly like ours last time?

FWIW Fergie has - apparently - just heaped praise on Rossi and Pique. I don't think the latter is going anywehre, not sure about the former but a few reports last week suggested he was staying put.

The post was on Red Cafe. I'm not watching the match, have zero interest in it and too busy at work.

Do you mean literally just now?

I hope you're right because I find it ominous for Rossi that he expressed concern about his future and there had been no public display of backing from Fergie.

Dunno.

I have to confess, I nabbed that off Red Ish so I've cheated and it might be wrong!
