Thumbs up MacBook Pro 15" 2018 Edition

Picked up one of these over the weekend as doing a lot of work with Mac OS at work now for more clients

Never liked Apple but had been given a 2015 version for dev purposes and it was a good bit of kit. Now plumped for my own 15" version with 16GB of ram.

Love it.

A lot of people moaned about the keyboard but I think it's pretty decent although the older one was easier to type with.

Anyway, I'm converted. Never buying an iPhone, however.

Mrs has the “13 at home (as well as the MacBook), great bit of kit and weighs similar to the Air. Only one USB port though

Got mine from Currys for £2056 which is £200+ cheaper than anywhere else legit.

Edit - https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/comput...82053-pdt.html

Backup to £2349. Reckon I saw it when the website was having a glitch.

The MacBook Pro has four USB-C ports. Didn't give it a second thought until I went to plug it in a second screen and realised I need an adapter for a HDMI connection.

The touchbar is great. The sound of the machine is incredible, too.

Still got a Razer Blade Stealth as a Windows machine but think MacOS is now the one for my personal computing. Just installed VMWare Fusion on it too for my labs so no need for Windows anymore.
