Would suit me. Creativity and the makings of solid base. We really need to bed Jonesy in properly at centre half before Christmas. Ridiculous the way Rio has been used so far this season.

Vidic has been poor and wouldn't want him against lambert, osvaldo et al

Carrick-cleverley combo seemed to work fine against sunderland wouldn't want it to be broken especially for a out of form fellaini

Isn't Wighead out with a limp wrist.

He needs to start cracking out a few more everyday, build up the muscles around the bone.

Fellaini can £#%&! off. No idea why anybody would want to see that limited clown start against an aggressive, high pressing side like Southampton. Useless tit.

Expecting a bit of a horror show tbh :shakehead:

Southampton play a high pressing game, but without a passing link from midfield to attack, as such you don't especially need to worry about them retaining the ball for long periods. Ideally you want Utd to have the ability to keep the ball for longer periods than we did against Sunderland even though they blew themselves out after an hour, I suspect Southampton will last a little longer - probably til the last 10mins if we don't keep the ball that well ourselves. Vidic & Jones need £#%&!ing telling to pass to Carrick.

As such....

------------------De Gea--------------------

Rafael-------Jones--------Vidic---------Evra

------------Carrick----Cleverley------------

Nani--------------Rooney-----------Big Adnan

-----------------van Persie-------------------

Not sure if Cleverley is fit. Regardless of anyone's concerns over his ability he constantly has a pass completion well over 90% & keeping the ball is what we need for the first 70mins or so.

The rest pick themselves really, aside from Evans / Rio / Smalling decision at CB I'd rather see a partnership grow between Jones & Vidic & neither played mid-week so will be rested & ready to go.

2-0 Utd, feel a bit of momentum growing... depends if we £#%&! about with the team & leave Big Adders & Nani out for Young & Valencia...

Has to be same as Sunderland, Moyes needs to get a settled side and give the players some confidnence and them used to playing his way

Me too. Early days for the wig man but from what I've seen so far, Fellaini should be nowhere near the team when we play anyone half decent. Likewise Young or Valencia.

And by anyone half decent, I mean effectively any team from the Premiership such is our mediocrity and unpredictability.

We really need RVP to rediscover the net and take some of the pressure off the rest of the team.

Unfortunately, I can easily see us getting beat. At home. Again.
