The new TV rights for Premiership coverage means that the team finishing bottom this year will actually earn more than United earned last season for finishing first. £63 million for finishing last taking into account all tv revenue. No wonder teams have been spending money like theres no tomorrow in this transfer window..albeit the odd one

Scudamore thinks this new found wealth will allow English clubs to compete with any club in the world in the transfer market and it will allow premiership teams to build a team that can compete with anyone.....yeah right

no, all that will happen is it will drive the overall price of the market up even further.

it would be interesting* to see what percentage of that money is re-invested in the english game through buying players from english clubs, versus using the money to buy more average players from abroad.
