![]() ![]() A diver had to think quickly to get out of harm's way as a huge great white shark smashed its way into a shark cage in South Africa on Thursday. In a video of the narrow escape, the shark ignores bait dangling nearby to distract it and makes a beeline for the newlywed diver in the cage. The diver, who was married the day before the attack, just manages to swim underneath the shark's gaping jaw as it slams into the cage. The shark appears to get its head stuck and churns up the water as it thrashes about before eventually swimming away. "The shark gets his head inside the cage, while fellow diver Roger (who got married the day before), acted quickly to swim below the gaping sharks mouth and to avoid any injury," wrote Canada's Bryan Plummer, who posted the video on YouTube yesterday. "Apologies for any profanity in the video… it was an out of control situation." Video here http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/201...ide-shark-cage f*** that! |
