There are lots of issues that are worthy of a principled stand.

This isn't one of them.

People who wear fancy dress should be murdered in front of their families but on this occasion they should be allowed to live

They should just say they are transgender women and they'd be lauded as heroes.

These d***s that are risible when they are talking balls in student unions and on Twitter eventually end up in the real world in positions of minor power.

yeah...giving money directly to the people who need it is much worse than handing it to a third party who syphon off a chunky percentage for themselves first. before eventually handing over a pittance and then tell them how, where and when they can spend it.

Or.....

Don't give the money in the first place, therefore causing such a crisis that the third party are forced to fund essential services rather than give the money in tax breaks to rich c***s

Can we put some numbers and types of allowances you're thinking of before I give out rep (wouldn't want to have to take it back).

Ł1m threshold for inheritance sounds a lot but isn't when you consider the value of a home in the south along with a lifetime of investments/pensions etc.

And cŁ70,000 puts you in the top 5% high earner bracket. There will be lots on this forum falling foul of this unsightly spectacle of envy.

Dreadful posts from the forum lefties.

I think the general public, over the decades, have exhibited a big desire to give money VOLUNTARILY ....without the need of a third party....so I'd say, f*** them off altogether and give the syphoned off chunk to the essential services as well.

To be fair they look a lot more like real nhs nurses than the ones I imagine.

In a country where it's socially acceptable to pick up, bag and carry dog shit, anything should go.
