They lost to a newly promoted team that cost less than Sergio Aguero's latest bung.

yeah they're good but they're not this invincible super-team that everyone likes to go on about. They're also terrified of Liverpool as well.

That's why last weekend was so great. It was like a throwback to the 90s before we had teams clocking up 18 wins in a row and over 100 points....when teams actually believed they could win games instead of just rolling over and accepting defeat.

You don’t half talk shit sometimes when you’re driving your agenda. It was a pretty common talking point during the 90’s that teams facing United were beat in the tunnel.

And yet the league was at its most competitive from the mid-90s up until the mid/late-00s.

and yet we never won cup finals 6-0 or clocked up 18 wins in a row with 100 points...

I seem to remember United losing 6-7 games a season, getting knocked out of cups by Barnsley, Wimbledon etc...

We were never, ever as blatantly dominant on the domestic scene as City are now.

because the money saturating the league has eroded all ambition with the majority of teams just happy to be here.

If it wasn't for Liverpool running City close we'd basically be no better than the French League.

But please, lugholes of Arabia... regale us with your admiration of your slave states little side project

With arguably the best British team of all time. I’m in agreement with Sparky, we “dominated” but it felt like it meant a lot more because of how we did it, and there was generally always a title race. City won it by 20 odd points a couple of years ago, and then Liverpool played like freaks all season and still couldn’t win it.

All smacks of pure bitterness “we did exactly what city did but we did it better” I hope the Saudis don’t buy us for yours and Sparkys sake.

Well until City win the treble, we did do it better.

That wasn’t the point being made either, btw.

It’s worth remembering the City’s dominant dynasty is exactly 2 years old. People were saying exactly the same things about the invincible Arsenal team and Mourinho’s Chelsea. Everything comes around; only Fergie outlasted them all.

Guardiola, Klopp and Pochettino will all be gone by the start of season 21/22 if not sooner, that’s why we have to build smart and steady and not worry about things we can’t control.

They are at Anfield (not so much at home tbf) and it goes back an amazingly long way - *three* wins there since the mid-1950s

That’s an easy Liverpool win then...

Watching the highlights of today's games. Arsenal would be bottom half without Aubameyang. He's a top forward wasting his time there.

Funny what having a top striker can do.

And here we are pinning our hopes on two kids who struggle to score 15 a season.

We may have gone all in on a pair of 2’s.
