We buy him to be tussle with Hojlund…..

Instead we have a raw sole striker with no one else that can be trusted to score.

He may not be “good enough for United” not sure what United as the United of the past 5 years has been shit!
Have any of our strikers in the past 5 years hit 16 league goals with 1/4 of the season left to play?

thats why Liverpool have players like jota who come in and the standard doesn’t drop.

Hojlund, Watkins and a 30years + poacher is a good strike force.

If he can score in a Villa side he can score is a united side that isn’t better than Villa. 2024 lads, half the prem are good enough for United as it stands, slowly we get in them players an raise the level and replace them.

Make that 17 goals now’.

CLUTCH!!!!!!!

Meanwhile he isn’t good enough for a team that have scored 40 league goals in total and no one with half his total individually.

surely, "good enough for united" doesn't mean good enough to get into this united team?

watkins is not the kind of player we should be wasting money on.

Sort of player we used to sign and improve. He’s had a good season, and fair play to you, you said he would.

Would have him at United tomorrow.

Think that was his 18th.

He'd definitely improve our squad, but then we have the likes of Martial and Rashford as alternative options as centre forward, so it's a low bar. The fee Villa would want, we'd be better pursuing different options.

I think the smart money would be on Manchester City making it 4 in a row.

They played midweek against Villa, left out Haaland and De Bruyne, Foden scores a hat trick. Today at Palace, Haaland and de bruyne come back in, Foden on the bench. How £#%&!ing lovely must that be? To be able to rotate at this stage of the season with that kind of depth in your squad and still score 8 goals in 2 games? Nobody else in this league can do that.

Apart from Spurs away, they don't have a single challenging fixture left in the league, just a load of mid table dross and relegation fodder to plough through.

Thought we'd already played them twice?

Trossard, file next to Watkins and jota!

Those clinical players that big clubs snatch of the 5-10th placed teams to boast their overall squad so there’s not a big drop off when you need to freshen things up or have injuries…..

But over at one of the worst top teams these players are not deemed good enough.
The team that Antony and The Scottish Player play for. Mad ting!

But we need to start somewhere just like Arsenal did a few years ago.

They bought 7/8s out of 10 then got better and better!

Even if we get some top players the drop off will be too much. We need to grab the best of the rest then in 18months get some top players.

Yes, i think that's why we're getting a complete overhaul of our footballing set up mate.

This isn't going to happen overnight though, so i fear you might need some kind of counselling at this rate.

This celebrating of defensive blocks is £#%&!ing annoying isn’t it?

Anyone would think that was a goal line clearance at 1-0 the way they reacted there
